(Greenwood, S.C., October 4, 2021) – The Self Regional Healthcare Foundation recently announced that new officers have been named on the Board of Trustees. Tim Hodges will serve as the Chairman, John Cooper as Vice Chairman, Chris Clem as Treasurer and Hunter Bell as Secretary.
In stepping down from the chair role, Laine Orcutt said “It has been my privilege and high honor to serve as the chair of the Foundation Board these last four years. Thanks to an incredibly supportive community and a great team of volunteer fundraisers, our Foundation has enjoyed great success raising almost $8.5 million in charitable support during Our Vision Is 2020 Campaign. We shall be eternally grateful to this community for its steadfast support.”
Additionally, four new trustees were appointed to the Board of Trustees of Self Regional Healthcare Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Self Regional Healthcare: Mark Askew, Glenda Corley, Sharon Mulkey, and Michael Walters. Mark Askew is chairman of the Palmetto Surety Corporation, Glenda Corley is the Area Operations Manager with Medical Services of America/Medi Home Care, Sharon Mulkey is a realtor with RE/MAX Action Realty, and Michael Walters is site director at Ascend Performance Materials. These new Board members they join 16 existing trustees who provide governance and philanthropic support for Self Regional Healthcare in order to improve healthcare in Greenwood and the Lakelands region.
“All of us at the Foundation are grateful to Howard Corley and Henry Cary for their involvement and support. These two leaders served for 6 years on our Board and were instrumental to our success. During their term, they presided over some significant changes as to how the Foundation operates and were instrumental in helping us exceed Our Vision Is 2020 Campaign goal,” said Ken Coffey, Executive Director of the Foundation.
