Members of the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation’s Madame Curie Society and invited guests gathered at the Cedar Ridge Plantation in Bradley, SC for the 2nd Annual Madame Curie Society Spring Social. Hosted by the Foundation’s Special Gifts Committee, current and prospective donors enjoyed food, fellowship and fun. Eight new Madame Curie Society members and eight members who renewed their commitment to support the Foundation, were recognized at the Social. Attendees also were touched by Richard and Sharlene Greene’s sharing of their recent experience at Self Regional Healthcare.
Laine Orcutt, chair of the Special Gifts Committee and a member of the Foundation Board of Trustees, briefed those in attendance on the Foundation’s Our Vision Is 2020 Campaign. At present, more than $5.3 million in new commitments have been generated. These very generous gifts will provide much needed financial support to renovate the Childbirth Center, renovate and expand the Ambulatory Care Center, and renovate the hospital’s Emergency Department. These three mission critical projects entail almost $29 million of investment over the next 3 years. The Foundation has committed to a minimum fundraising goal of $7.5 million with a “stretch” goal of $10 million to help bring these three projects to fruition.
