The Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Special Gifts Committee hosted its fourth annual Madame Curie Society Spring Social on May 25th for members and guests. The event was held at Abney Hall. Self Regional Healthcare Food & Nutrition catered the event and musical entertainment was provided by Ashby Stokes.

On November 5, 2019, members of Self Regional Healthcare Foundation’s Madame Curie Society joined together for its fall recognition and education event. 180 of Greenwood’s most prominent and influential citizens enjoyed a variety fine cuisine prepared by the Self Regional Healthcare Food and Nutrition department and a program about the final phase of Our Vision is 2020: Renovation and expansion of the Emergency Department. At the conclusion of the program, Emergency Department staff were recognized and given a standing ovation from the crowd. Additionally, new and current Madame Curie Society members who renewed their commitment, received their Madame Curie Society pins and were officially inducted into the Society.

On November 8, 2018, members of Self Regional Healthcare Foundation’s Madame Curie Society joined together for its fall recognition and education event. 180 of Greenwood’s most prominent and influential citizens enjoyed a variety fine cuisine prepared by the Self Regional Healthcare Food and Nutrition department and a program about the Orthopedic service line at Self Regional Healthcare. Additionally, new and current Madame Curie Society members who renewed their commitment, received their Madame Curie Society pins and were officially inducted into the Society.

Members of the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation’s Madame Curie Society and invited guests gathered at the Cedar Ridge Plantation in Bradley, SC for the 2nd Annual Madame Curie Society Spring Social. Hosted by the Foundation’s Special Gifts Committee, current and prospective donors enjoyed food, fellowship and fun. Eight new Madame Curie Society members and eight members who renewed their commitment to support the Foundation, were recognized at the Social. Attendees also were touched by Richard and Sharlene Greene’s sharing of their recent experience at Self Regional Healthcare.

On November 2, Greenwood’s most prominent and influential citizens gathered at Cedar Ridge Plantation for the Foundations annual Madame Curie Society’s recognition event. This event is held to recognize and thank members of the Madame Curie Society for their charitable support that help Self Regional meet the community’s healthcare needs. At this year’s event we welcomed 36 new members and 17 renewed members to the Society.

On May 25, 2017 the Special Gifts Committee hosted the Madame Curie Society’s first annual spring social “Bring A Friend” event at the Farmer’s Market in Uptown Greenwood. This event was an opportunity for current Madam Curie Society members to invite prospective new members to continue improving healthcare in our community.

Self Regional Healthcare Foundation held its annual Madame Curie Society Recognition dinner on October 19, 2015, with special guest and musical powerhouse Edwin McCain. Donors who give $2,000 or more annually or include the foundation in their bequests (Legacy Circle) are invited to the Madame Curie Society recognition dinner as a way to thank them for their support.
