38th Annual Mid-Winter Ball
The anticipation is growing for the 38th Annual Mid-Winter Ball and we are thrilled to announce two exciting updates: the 2026 theme will be “A Mediterranean Soiree” and, for the first time, the Ball will be hosted at Lander University’s Joe V. Chandler Center gymnasium on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
The new location reflects a wonderful collaboration between Self Regional Healthcare and Lander University, whose partnership has been strengthened through medical education opportunities for students as well as economic development for our community.
“We are so grateful to Lander University for welcoming us with open arms,” said Ball Chair Davis Renee Migdalas. “This new location is not only a perfect fit for the Ball but also a reflection of the strong ties between our hospital and Lander.”
To make the evening even more enjoyable, Lander has offered special parking accommodations for Ball guests and will provide shuttle service via the Bearcat Shuttle. These thoughtful touches ensure that the event will remain seamless, elegant, and accessible for everyone.
“The Mid-Winter Ball has always been about celebrating community,” added Co-Chair Chelsea Castellone, “and this location change highlights just how much collaboration and support we have here in Greenwood. We are thrilled to bring the Ball to Lander this year.”
This year’s theme, A Mediterranean Soiree, promises a night filled with elegance, warmth, and vibrant inspiration. For Ball Chair Davis Renee Migdalas, the theme holds personal significance. “With my husband’s family roots in the Mediterranean, this theme feels very close to home for me,” she shared. “I’m so excited that we get to bring the spirit of that beautiful region to Greenwood, all while raising funds for something so important to the health of our community.”
Co-Chair Chelsea Castellone added: “Between this year’s stunning theme and the new location at Lander, we know this will be a Ball to remember. It’s going to be a night of joy and celebration—and the best part is knowing it all supports our 3D Mobile Mammography Vehicle. Together, we’re making an incredible difference for women and families across the Lakelands.”
