Amy Pritchard and Hunter Bell have been named honorary chairs for the 31st Annual Mid-Winter Ball.

Amy Pritchard and Hunter Bell have been named honorary chairs for the 31st Annual Mid-Winter Ball.

Ms. Pritchard is a member of the Foundation’s Madame Curie Society, and Ms. Bell is a board member of the Self Regional Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees and Co-Chair of the Foundation’s Special Gifts Committee.

The Ball is set for the evening of Saturday, February 23, 2019, and will be returning to the Greenwood Country Club. The theme of this year’s ball is “An Evening Under the Stars”.

“Amy and I are thrilled to serve as the ball chairs for the 2019 event. We thought last year’s Mid-Winter Ball was the best we’ve attended,” said Hunter Bell. “The feedback of bringing the ball back to Greenwood was overwhelmingly positive, so holding the 2019 Mid-Winter Ball at the Greenwood Country Club again made perfect sense.”

“Our challenge as chairs is trying to top the attendees’ experience for the 2019 ball,” said Amy Pritchard. “One thing we know for sure is on February 23, the stars will be out!”

As one of Greenwood’s most anticipated social events of the year, the black-tie evening is traditionally a sellout. After the positive response of moving it back to Greenwood in 2018, this year should be no different.

The headlining entertainment will be the return of last year’s crowd favorite, the Shimmer Band out of Atlanta. Attendees will also be treated to a gourmet menu created by Self Regional Healthcare’s Food and Nutrition staff and will get to participate in the ever-popular silent auction with opportunities to bid on vacations, gift certificates, activities and much more.

Since its inception, the Mid-Winter Ball has raised more than $3 million on behalf of Self Regional Healthcare. Proceeds from this year’s ball will again benefit the Our Vision is 2020 Campaign that will fund three mission critical projects: renovations to the Childbirth Center, renovation and expansion of the Ambulatory Care Center and renovation to the Emergency Department.
