Paint McCormick Pink Breast Cancer Walk
Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Receives $13,375 from Paint McCormick Pink Breast Cancer Walk
The McCormick community once again showed its tremendous spirit and generosity during this year’s Paint McCormick Pink Breast Cancer Walk, held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in downtown McCormick.
Now in its third year, the event continues to grow in both participation and impact. Organized by the McCormick-Edgefield Breast Cancer Committee, Paint McCormick Pink brings residents, visitors, and local businesses together each October to raise awareness and funds in support of breast cancer patients and survivors.
This year’s event raised an impressive $13,375 for the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation’s Cancer Fund, which supports local cancer patients receiving care through Self Regional Healthcare’s Cancer Center. The check presentation took place recently at the Cancer Center in Greenwood, where members of the committee presented the donation to representatives from the Foundation and Self Regional Healthcare’s oncology team.
Participants filled the streets of downtown McCormick in pink attire, walking together in a visible show of solidarity and hope. The event featured music, vendors, and community fellowship, all centered around honoring survivors and remembering those affected by breast cancer.
Ken Coffey, Executive Director of the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation, expressed his gratitude for the group’s continued partnership: “The McCormick-Edgefield Breast Cancer Committee has created something truly special with Paint McCormick Pink. Their dedication not only raises essential funds but also builds awareness and brings our communities together in the fight against cancer.”
As the event continues to grow, the committee remains committed to its mission of promoting early detection, education, and community support for breast cancer awareness across the Lakelands region.
