Dear Friends and Supporters:
It is hard to imagine how much our society and our world has changed in just 2 months. COVID-19 has changed virtually every aspect of how we live our lives. One thing that hasn’t changed is the importance of having a premier healthcare provider like Self Regional right here in Greenwood and the Lakelands region.
Self Regional Healthcare and the entire team continues to serve on the frontline in the response to the COVID-19 virus. We are indebted to the heroes who work at Self Regional. At the same time, we’re also grateful to a community that cares deeply about its hospital. The outpouring of support from area businesses and individuals that have made generous gifts of masks, surgical gowns and other vital medical supplies has been incredible. You’ll see the names of these caring donors in this report. On behalf of the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation, we say thank you!
In this report, you will also see a partial list of our donors that have made gifts to Our Vision in 2020 Campaign. As you may know, our Foundation set a minimum goal to raise $7.5 million by September 30, 2020. We are pleased to report that our Campaign has generated almost $8.5 million! What’s more, the Foundation has already given $3 million to Self Regional as part of its commitment to help find the renovation of the Childbirth Center and Surgery Center at Self Regional. The third piece to our Campaign was renovation of our Emergency Department. That project is on hold for now. We will have more information about this project later this year.
