Healthy, Wealthy & Wise Brings Women Together for an Evening of Learning and Connection
The Self Regional Healthcare Foundation recently hosted its annual Healthy, Wealthy & Wise: A Seminar for Women, bringing together women from across the community for an evening focused on education, connection, and empowerment.
Held at The Inn on the Square, the event provided attendees with practical insight into important topics that many women face, including advance care planning and caring for aging loved ones.
The evening featured two engaging presentations. Hannah K. Metts, Esquire, partner at McDonald Patrick Poston Hemphill & Roper, LLC, led a discussion on the importance of advanced directives and ensuring one’s wishes are clearly communicated. Abigail Briggs, MSN, RN, Director of Patient Outcomes and Case Management at Greenwood Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, shared valuable guidance on navigating dementia and supporting loved ones through the challenges of elder care.
In addition to the educational sessions, attendees enjoyed time to connect with one another, fostering a sense of community around topics that are often difficult but deeply important.
“We are so grateful for the opportunity to bring women together for conversations like these,” said Jessica Garcia, Development Officer for the Foundation. “These are topics that impact so many families, and it’s meaningful to create a space where women can learn, ask questions, and feel supported.”
The Self Regional Healthcare Foundation extends its sincere thanks to the speakers, attendees, and partners who helped make this event a success.
