Mid-Winter Ball Raises Approximately $117,000 for Mobile Mammography Initiative
The Self Regional Healthcare Foundation’s 38th Annual Mid-Winter Ball: A Mediterranean Soirée brought together nearly 600 guests for an unforgettable evening of celebration, connection, and impact — raising approximately $117,000 to support a new 3D mobile mammography unit.

With this year’s event, the Mid-Winter Ball has now raised a remarkable $385,000 over the past three years toward funding the mobile mammography unit, demonstrating the continued generosity and commitment of the Lakelands community.
Hosted at Lander University, the evening transformed the space into a vibrant Mediterranean setting filled with beautiful décor, incredible food, and a shared sense of purpose. Under the leadership of Ball Chairs Davis Renee Migdalas and Chelsea Castellone, guests enjoyed a thoughtfully curated experience that included live music by the PUNCH Band, a Silent Auction that raised over $47,000, and a menu prepared by the Self Regional Healthcare Food & Nutrition team that was widely praised throughout the night.
“It was incredibly special to see our community come together for such an important cause,” shared the Ball Chairs. “The support and energy in the room made the evening truly unforgettable.”
Behind the scenes, the success of the event was made possible by the dedication of volunteers, the generosity of sponsors and local businesses, and the strong partnership with Lander University and its staff, whose support helped ensure a seamless and memorable experience.
“This event is a true reflection of what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared purpose,” said Board Chair, Glenda Corley.
