1951 Club Fall Drive Raises $17,466 for Comprehensive Breast Center of Excellence

The Self Regional Healthcare Foundation’s 1951 Club Fall Drive demonstrated the power of collective giving, raising $17,466 in support of the Comprehensive Breast Center of Excellence.

Through the Fall Drive, Self Regional Healthcare team members contributed $9,516, while community donors gave an additional $7,950 through the 1951 Club.

The 1951 Club brings together individuals who believe that meaningful philanthropy does not have to begin with a large gift. Instead, it celebrates the impact created when many people choose to give what they are able to give toward a shared purpose.

This Fall Drive brought that mission to life.

During the team member portion of the campaign, the Foundation intentionally planned its outreach around the transition between second and third shifts, allowing staff and committee members to connect with team members who may not always be reached during traditional daytime events.

Many of those team members shared that they were not yet familiar with the Comprehensive Breast Center of Excellence. Those conversations created an important opportunity to educate, answer questions and invite more members of the Self Regional family to become part of the project.

The community portion of the 1951 Club Fall Drive continued that outreach at a gathering held at Flynn’s on Maxwell. Annual Support Committee members personally invited friends, colleagues and community members they knew had generous hearts and an interest in making a difference. Guests were able to learn more about the vision for the Comprehensive Breast Center of Excellence and consider how their own giving could help move that vision forward.

Together, those efforts raised $17,466.

But perhaps the greatest story behind that number is that it was built one gift at a time.

The 1951 Club is a reminder that philanthropy is not limited to a small number of large gifts. When many people each contribute what they can, those individual gifts become something much greater.

During this Fall Drive, team members gave. Community members gave. Committee members opened doors and invited others into the mission. New people learned about the need and chose to become part of meeting it.

Together, they created significant new support for the Comprehensive Breast Center of Excellence and demonstrated exactly what the 1951 Club was created to do: turn collective generosity into meaningful impact for our community.
